Counseling in Landrum, South Carolina

Landrum is six miles south of Tryon and in a different state. In the foothills the line runs through the middle of what is otherwise one community, which is exactly the situation the licensing note below exists for.

Landrum is at the top of Spartanburg County, on US-176 where it climbs towards the Saluda grade. It is a small town — a few thousand people — and it shares a horse economy, a school run and a weekly shop with Tryon and Columbus over the North Carolina line.

The nearest of the practice's locations is in Columbus, twenty minutes or so north. In this part of the world that is unremarkable; people cross the line several times a week without registering it.

Therapy is the exception to that, and it is worth being blunt about why. A licence is issued by a state board and it governs work with people located in that state. Two towns twenty minutes apart on the same road can sit under two different boards, and a therapist who can see one may not be able to see the other. It is the first thing to settle here, ahead of scheduling.

Getting here from Landrum

The nearer of the practice’s two locations is the one in Columbus, about twenty minutes away depending on the time of day. Drive times on this page are the ordinary ones anybody living here would give you, not a promise about appointment availability.

What the work itself is

Nothing about the therapy changes with the postcode. The same four pathways are what people from Landrum get in touch about, and they are described properly on their own pages rather than summarised again here.

Getting started

Take the next step

The first step is a conversation. You describe what has brought you here, Laura describes how she works, and between you it becomes clearer whether to carry on.

There is no obligation to book anything afterwards, and it is a reasonable thing to do even if you are not sure you want therapy yet.

Prefer to write rather than call? Use the form, or see the contact page for office details.

Request a consultation

An email address or a phone number — either one is enough.
