Lancaster County
Counseling in Indian Land, South Carolina
Indian Land is not a town. It is the northern tip of Lancaster County — the panhandle — running up US-521 until it stops at the North Carolina line, and it has grown into a Charlotte suburb without ever becoming a municipality of its own. Sun City Carolina Lakes, the large retirement community off 521, is one of the few names on the map most people outside the county would recognise.
In practical terms it is south Charlotte. Ballantyne is directly north across the line, the practice is a short run up 521 and Providence Road, and a great many people here work in Charlotte and think of themselves as living in it.
For therapy, the line is not a formality. Where you are physically sitting during a session is what decides which state's rules apply, and that is true of a video appointment from your own kitchen as much as it is of an in-person one. It is worth settling before a first appointment rather than after.
Getting here from Indian Land
The nearer of the practice’s two locations is the one in Charlotte, about fifteen minutes away depending on the time of day. Drive times on this page are the ordinary ones anybody living here would give you, not a promise about appointment availability.
What the work itself is
Nothing about the therapy changes with the postcode. The same four pathways are what people from Indian Land get in touch about, and they are described properly on their own pages rather than summarised again here.
Getting started
Take the next step
The first step is a conversation. You describe what has brought you here, Laura describes how she works, and between you it becomes clearer whether to carry on.
There is no obligation to book anything afterwards, and it is a reasonable thing to do even if you are not sure you want therapy yet.
