Mecklenburg County
Counseling in Charlotte, North Carolina
Charlotte is the seat of Mecklenburg County and the centre of a metropolitan area that spreads across the state line into South Carolina. The practice sits in the southern part of it, in the 28277 postcode, where Providence Road runs out towards Ballantyne and Weddington.
That location decides who finds it convenient. SouthPark, Cotswold, Myers Park and Dilworth are a short drive up Providence; Matthews and Pineville are across to the east and west; and Ballantyne runs right up to the state line, which is why three of the other areas on this list are in South Carolina rather than North Carolina.
Charlotte traffic is the practical constraint rather than distance. A five-mile trip on Providence Road at half past five is not a five-mile trip at two in the afternoon, and it is worth saying so when you are working out which appointment times you could actually keep week after week.
Getting here from Charlotte
The nearer of the practice’s two locations is the one in Charlotte, in the city itself away depending on the time of day. Drive times on this page are the ordinary ones anybody living here would give you, not a promise about appointment availability.
What the work itself is
Nothing about the therapy changes with the postcode. The same four pathways are what people from Charlotte get in touch about, and they are described properly on their own pages rather than summarised again here.
Getting started
Take the next step
The first step is a conversation. You describe what has brought you here, Laura describes how she works, and between you it becomes clearer whether to carry on.
There is no obligation to book anything afterwards, and it is a reasonable thing to do even if you are not sure you want therapy yet.
Prefer to write rather than call? Use the form, or see the contact page for office details.
Request a consultation
A couple of sentences is plenty. The detail belongs in a session, not a form.
