Most of what decides whether therapy is workable is practical rather than clinical — how long the drive is, whether the appointment time survives contact with the traffic on Providence Road, and whether the state you are sitting in is one your therapist is licensed in. That last one catches people out around Charlotte more than anywhere else, because the metropolitan area runs across the South Carolina line and most of the towns on the far side of it feel like part of the city.
