When grief needs more than a group

Groups help many people. Some losses call for one-to-one time as well. Grief counseling in Tryon describes what that looks like with Laura, who lists grief and loss among the concerns she works with.

Domestic violence and abuse

Couples counseling is not a safe setting where one partner is afraid of the other. Individual support and a trained advocate are the right first steps.

After the crisis: finding a counselor

Once things are steadier, regular counseling can help with what led up to the crisis and what comes after it. Laura Bass works with adults, 18 and over, in individual counseling and couples counseling, and has a part-time office at The Healing Cottage in Columbus. She is licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina. To ask about working together, call 704-706-3264 or use the contact page.

Getting started

Take the next step

The first step is a conversation. You describe what has brought you here, Laura describes how she works, and between you it becomes clearer whether to carry on.

There is no obligation to book anything afterwards, and it is a reasonable thing to do even if you are not sure you want therapy yet.

Prefer to write rather than call? Use the form, or see the contact page for office details.

Request a consultation

An email address or a phone number — either one is enough.
